Waddesdon Manor
Okay so yesterday I bricked it and put a photo on of a flower at Witley Court!
Today I resolved to put an image on of where we had been, and that is Waddesdon Manor, a National Trust property in Buckinghamshire.
We drove down with J's sister and husband, a journey of just over an hour. The weather was sweltering so ice creams on arrival!
After wandering around the wonderful gardens and extensive grounds we had tea and sandwiches in the courtyard cafe and vowed to return again once the house is re-opened. Some more walking afterwards followed by a second ice cream before taking the shuttle bus back to the car park, saving us a 20 minute walk in the heat.
The house is very, very grand and was the home of the Rothschild family and is so interesting inside and J and myself know this as we visited a couple of years ago and as I mentioned earlier we all intend returning soon. The in-laws were smitten.
