Fruits of my allotment

I woke at 7 and got up to hang out washing I'd run through last night. It was the first of 5 loads I washed and dried today. In the heat we have all had, it has been a positive to come out of the heatwave!

I took a cup of tea up to Jon, and weighed myself. OMG. Diet starts today.

I got up, weighed out my muesli (168 calories) and 100ml skimmed milk (35 calories)....at least the day started well! At 9 I cycled to the allotment. I wanted to get there before it got too warm, just to see what had grown, and wow! 3 giant courgettes, that were the size of narrows, plus about 4 others, a big bundle of peas, runner beans, and french beans. I will go back tomorrow morning to carry on picking beans. I needed to get back to go to Lidl with Jon.

We had to queue to get in to Lidl. We haven't had to do that for a couple of months. We did the shop and the rest of the day has been doing the washing and trying to cool down. Outside was far too hot, and I am worried about how hot our 'office' will be on Monday. I may end up moving back to the lounge...it seems the coolest place.

Jon took Bracken to the woods at Pretty Corner for a walk. He said it was lovely and cool. Might take our chairs and books, and just sit there over the weekend! (Sea is too busy)

Mollie and I had stuffed 'giant courgette' for tea. I bought turkey mince which is low calorie. A bit of hoovering in the caravan now it is cool enough, and then bed!
