New man Milton came to break through the patio room ceiling and re-solder the dripping water pipe that feeds the bathroom above.  Quite a mess but efficient.  They come back on Monday to paint the repositioned plaster.  He comes recommended from the house across the way, after Carlos, his predecesor, fell into disgrace for bad handiwork there.
