Losing Power...

A few minutes ago an almighty crack of thunder split the outdoors and the lights started flickering. I've zipped through some remaining tasks and put a halt to my experimenting with a spinning ceramic candleholder (it was to be called "spinning through the day," or some such). Instead I decided to light the candle inside it, and several others, in anticipation of another of our not infrequent power outages.

Someone bought my car out from under me, ten minutes before I got to the dealership. Bummer.
