This is the lid of a tankard. The decoration around the tankard itself is quite ornate and, to be fair, it was never meant to used for drinking. It was made by Bernhard Strauss in 1651 basically, to show off.
The tankard has many mythological scenes around it but on the lid it shows Hercules slaying the centaur. This is Hercules' bum.
