Coniston by the lake

Beginning to get completely despondent by the weather. I know it rains a lot in the Lakes, but it is August... three days of torrential rain whilst listening to weather warnings of a heatwave in the rest of the UK. Now we seem to be getting a daily change of forecast in the evenings from tolerably pleasant to grey and gloomy if not downright grim.
Supposed to be here for a fortnight. Not sure we’ll last out unless things improve. Outdoors is the only option due to Covid and outdoors isn’t very pleasant at the moment! And we are used to this kind of thing! The refugees from Spanish beach holidays must be tearing their hair out!
