Tuesday and Wednesday’s flooding at the allotments is all but a memory today. The water has receded with the willowbank slowing down the flow of water and preventing any substantial erosion and damage. Yes the soil has been compacted but we have been rewarded with a layer of fertile silt that has covered plants from the level at which they were submerged
