AOG20205

Welcome back to the Rocky Mountain Arena and Day 5 of the AOG!  Today I covered the exciting Powerline Relay.  All of teams (Blue Jay, Northern Flicker, American Kestrel, Black-billed Magpie and Western Kingbird) took their places on the appointed lines.  This contest is all about speed!  Pictured here is Kelly, the anchor bird for Team Western Kingbird, anxiously awaiting her tag before flying the last lap of the relay.  It was a wild lap with all the teams' strongest fliers in the air!  At the finish line, Kelly was barely edged out by Millie Magpie by .002 of a second.  Magpies took the Gold, Kingbirds, the Silver and Kestrels, the Bronze!  Because of a prescheduled Zoom meeting, I was unable to visit any of the other venues today.

As one of the International Panel of Judges, I have awarded Hearts and Honorable Mentions for Day 4 of the AOG as follows:

Hearts:     Sheol          Bee's Moustache
                  Legacy        Most Extraordinary Day
                  Beckett       Galah Challenge

HMs:        Marlieske    Gliding to the Flower
                 simplemoments     Vertical Balancing
outdoorguy     Four Years Down the Drain

Thank you to everyone who participated in Day 4 of the AOG!  Tomorrow will be Day 6 and the tag will be AOG20206.  I am looking forward to seeing all your entries.  If you haven't joined the fun yet, you still have time to give it a try!

I am grateful that I have just enough time left now to watch the video that we'll be discussing at the Zoom meeting in an hour!

While I'm on the judging panel, it's been even harder than usual to keep up with everyone's journal.  Sorry I only have time to sprinkle stars. xx
