Isaac discovered the fun of pushing Eve and Zeke in the pool - so amusing to watch his brain work it through. We are feeling ridiculously blessed to be here in the sun, in a pretty quiet spot where we can keep ourselves to ourselves and just enjoy feeling normal for a few weeks. The children can’t get over the pleasure of being in water again, they are already working out how and when they’ll get in a swimming pool back home - our local one might open in September, here’s hoping!

Gratefuls:

1. Watching the children enjoy a simple meal with untold pleasure - brought to mind a passage in Ecclesiastes about bread on the table and wine in your glass (though they weren’t on wine to be fair);
2. A mini chocolate doughnut on the beach;
3. The hilarity of Isaac having a strop on the beach - it was challenging to keep straight faces while he trashed our sandcastles with earnest rage.
