To The Rescue . . .

Huge amounts of snow during the night (and all day today), but we did a bit of pre-planning and invited our grandkids to stay overnight so they could clear the snow from our drive and sidewalk this morning. Great kids, lucky us; we just stayed in bed and slept through it all . . .

That's the official story. The real one goes like this: Jools and I did 90 per cent of the work, then we 'persuaded' Kyle (14) to get out of bed and help. Cam (5) joined in for a couple of minutes, decided it was too cold, and went in to play a solitary game of corridor soccer . . .

Ah, perhaps tomorrow.

PS 6:15 pm. Jools and I have just spent another half an hour clearing the damn snow; this time the huge 2ft wall deposited at the end of the driveway by the snowplough, which finally arrived in our street. Where's Kyle now that we need him . . .?
