Flowers by Post.

After what I call a “slow” morning, we were having our lunch when there was a knock at the front door.
It was a delivery man.
Stephen brought in the parcel which was labelled “Flowers by Post”.
We opened it and discovered they had been sent by a lovely friend of ours for the both of us, with a note that said
“Sending you a really big hug”.
They couldn’t have arrived at a more opportune moment.
I was feeling particularly low earlier on. A reaction to having seen the family at the weekend, and not being able to see them as often.
The flowers are very carefully packed with instructions on their care.
They take awhile to open fully.
Currently they are sitting in their vase on the hearth.
They make me smile.
