Red deer

Today's the day ……………………… to scowl

We went off into the wilds of Galloway this morning to pick up a display cabinet that Will had managed to get for free on Facebook. 

We didn't know it was going to be miles from everywhere until we put the postcode into the car sat nav - but I suppose there was a clue in the fact that the postcode was all that was given as the address.  But hey - free shelves are not to be sniffed at - wherever they are.

It would have been a spectacular journey too if we could have seen anything through the driving rain and mist.  But there was a bonus, in that we saw this gang of red deer, really quite up close.  I suspect that they were not all that wild because they were behind a deer fence - and they didn't look at all put out to see us.  Quite the opposite in fact.  They came over to see if we had any food for them.

And when they realised that we hadn't - they didn't look best pleased ……………..
