DAY FOUR OF THE GAMES...

... as reported yesterday, day four was always going to be a BIG day in the Alternative Olympic Games (AOG).
It was time for the Galah Challenge, a recognised event highly contested by the Galahs. The Challenge consists of four races, the first being a "Feed contest".
Yes that's right, it is designed to allow the Galahs ten minutes to consume as much feed (extra one) as possible. The idea is to make them a full as possible before the next event a Speed time trial.
The distance is twice around the Oval (extra two) and the winner then has the chance of a rest, recovering with more feed! (extra three)
The final event is all about their ability to co-ordinate a specific three point landing (main pic).
Well as you can see Gladys and George came out as equal winners, a first in the AOG, and hit the Daily News headlines.
The crowd went mad with excitement (extra four).

Meanwhile further down the Oval, Wag the Willie Wagtail (extra five) was about to take out a long standing record which has stood the test of time in the AOG records.
It is the Pole Dive Event. The idea is to see how quickly you can spread into wing after leaving the pole?
Well Wag "cracked" the record, he was off in a tenth of a second, the cameras were having trouble getting the proof, it was so quick!
Have a look (extra six) at the exquisite style (and tail) on Wag the Willie Wagtail.

Meanwhile the AOG in the Southern Hemisphere has been able to continue on with no issue, after all the competitors were tested, and all Covid free.
Tomorrows event will go ahead as we head to the Lagoon for some interesting new schedules. One a surprise to all the competitors, so watch this space.

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE to see the magnificent style shown by Galdys and George.
Until tomorrow, your AOG reporter signing off.... but do not forget to check out the other events around the World by clicking the #AOG20204 tag.
