Hilltop

Took a different route back out of Galloway; this time the Mennock pass with a wee diversion up Lowther Hill to the golf ball on top. At over 2000ft it’s one of the highest roads in Scotland I think but it’s a dead end and gated so not that much use unless you’re a cyclist looking out for a couple of miles of spectacular scenery and insane gradient.

Loved it. The long descent was grand too.
