Frustration

Early walk with Dog before Di came to clean the courtyard paving. It looks like new. That was the good bit of the day.

The cooker we ordered at the weekend arrived around midday, nice chaps, connected it all up and took the old one away. ‘Register it straight away’ they said as they left. So I did, by phone, easy to do. ‘Run the ovens at full heat for half an hour before using’ the chap on the phone said. So I did, well I tried to! Main oven on, all fine, second oven - nothing. Grill - nothing. After reading and re reading the instructions to make sure we weren’t missing something, I began a three hour marathon - on the phone and live chat, being passed from department to department, from Hotpoint to Argos and back to Hotpoint again. Hotpoint At last act managed to pass me to the right department that dealt with problems within 28 days of sale, and whilst the lady was very sympathetic and helpful, we still have to wait until Tuesday for an engineer.

Sometimes it just feels that everything is going wrong, so I took my wine and sat in the very clean courtyard and did a bit of deep breathing!
