Cricket Catch
Periodically the Olympic Committee will vote to add a new and upcoming sport to the AOG'S, & I'm happy to announce that this year they voted to add the exciting sport of Cricket Catching! This is a solo sport, with each competitor having to catch as many crickets as possible in the allotted time. In the case of a tie, the one who caught the most crickets in the fastest time, wins. I'm just thrilled to death to be the first photographer/reporter to record this gripping inaugural event! Pictured here we have Jack Sparrow who seemed to have flown onto the course out of nowhere! In the blink of an eye he'd already captured his first cricket, then a second, a third, a fourth.......but then he ran into a bit of a problem! In his haste to get the cricket to the finish line he didn't properly secure it, causing the cricket's body to separate from the leg! This cost him some precious time, as he had to fly back for the body without dropping the leg, and recross the finish line. Unfortunately, with that little mishap his cricket count was too low & his time was too high to allow him to continue into the second round. But what great effort he put forth in this new & clearly electrifying sport!! :)) (Although the poor cricket could count as "tiny", I've added an extra with a shot of a cabbage butterfly for TT.)
Thanks to Debbi for hosting the AOG'S, and to Suzanne for hosting TinyTuesdays' this month!
