EARNESTLY HEMMING AWAY

I may not be able to manage any mechanically-aided sewing*, but I can hand-hem and I recently ordered a dress which arrived ankle- rather than mid-calf length and needs about 8 inches chopped off it. If the next few days are as hot as promised I may need it. Today was definitely not summer dress weather - cold, wet and grey.

*My wailing and moaning about my lack of sewing skills here, if you're interested. It's not pleasant.
