Wild Cat Island
As if I had not had sufficient upper body exercise after a hard morning pulling Himalayan Balsam - see extra on Penally1's blip here, I accepted an invitation to swim out to Peel Island. The Monday evening swimmers were proposing to swim out to the island in Coniston Water that was the inspiration for Wild Cat Island in Swallows and Amazons. 500m each way in glorious sunshine and there was a geocache on the island - how could I refuse. The rest of the swimmers swam round the island while I went ashore to explore and find the cache.
Success all round. The Blip is one of the swimmers entering Coniston and extra is kind Keith, a volunteer lifesaver who accompanied me back because I am the slowest swimmer in the group
