Ashaninca village, Peruvian Amazonia, 1987

We were lucky enough to take a guided trip of several days to stay at a Ashaninca village on the Rio Tambo. The two huts to the left were part of the village, the more open one to the right, was where we stayed. We were taken for treks in the rainforest, and also along the river. The chap who guided us was Lucho Hurtado, the man on the right in the second the extra. We learned so much about how the indigenous people lived, but more than that, we had a lot of fun with them.
