Among the First

Further down the mountain, prunus bushes are really bursting forth right now. Up here in Blackheath, which is a bit colder, things take a little longer. These are among the first prunus blossoms to appear. Within a week or two, our streets will be lined with spring clusters of pink and white. It'll all be quite a sight. Mind you there'll be some cold, wet weather still to come ... along with our August windstorms. Oh well.
