Not a cow ...

OK, enough of the cows for a while. I was determined to get a shot of some bird life from the feeder. After all, if we're going to the trouble and expense of getting a bird table and ensuring it is well stocked, the least they can do is pose occasionally. It doesn't seem much to ask.

There are a pair of starlings who really get stuck in and whose markings are striking just now. However even going upstairs for the camera is enough to scare them off. They have now become a challenge.

A great tit (I think, can someone confirm) obliged and pecked away at the coconut concoction for some time. Some food got stuck on his/her beak and that must be really annoying though I don't suppose it will be seen until he/she looks in the mirror. Maybe a kind friend will tell him/her. I mean they wouldn't just not let on and laugh away, would they?
