Royal Oak, Boscobel

The first multi agency meeting for this year's V Festival at Weston Park was held this morning. On the way back I stopped at Boscobel House where the future Charles II hid while Cromwell's patrols searched for him.

This is the Royal Oak, or should I say "Son of the Royal Oak" as this was not the original tree that Charles hid in. It is claimed this was grown from an acorn of the orignal oak.
