At the ice cream shop

We went for cones. We ate at a little table outside, mindfully social distancing and quietly enjoying a perfect summer afternoon when this crew showed up. They were the best. I asked to snap their picture and then left them to their treats. Being an eavesdropper of long standing, I learned that the humans were “just friends” but the dogs were enjoying a romance of some note. Obviously the furry ones need to have their portraits painted.
