Campsis

Whilst deadheading, a bright orange flower was quietly glowing at the back. What a surprise as for years it has refused to flower and we called it the twig. Starting in a container hoping it would cover a wall (being reported as a rapid spreader, )it did nothing, so I moved it to present position and it still did nothing. Lots of leaves and it looked healthy but otherwise useless for the purpose and I was going to dig it up, so had to take a photo to prove it did flower. Will be interesting to see if it starts to cover the fence.
