A gift that keeps giving
The demolition that is. Today, there was cutting up of steel girders, presumably so they are short enough to be put in the big skips in which everything is carted off.
This morning, we headed off to the other side of the demolition site, where we use a storage facility. After doing what we needed to do (swap some stuff around), we had a chat with one of the owners (who say they are not selling up to the developers). He too has been watching the developments, and he has a viewing platform very close to the fence between their land and the development land which gives him a very good view. He was headed up there when we spoke to him earlier.
After lunch, I picked up some new glasses. They are different to the old glasses, and Mr A hasn't got used to them yet. But they seem very good - I'm typing this on my laptop on my lap, without need to change into my reading glasses. So hopefully, there will be less swapping around between the varifocals and the reading glasses. That can only be a good thing.
In between...reading and writing. As ever.
