Buzz (off toxic)

Stopped for a chat with Buzz who as usual was tinkering with his boat Tiedamew down at the harbour.  (After several years I don't think it's yet seaworthy.)

Buzz is something of a local legend with his  eccentric vehicles cobbled together from spare parts, eye-catchingly decorated  and all running on cooking oil. He's also a serious, lifelong, environmentalist and  a committed ecowarrior. The son of two local artists Buzz's profound dyslexia made school a nightmare for him but he excelled at art college. He's a whizz at any form of technology, alternative or conventional. He lives with his family in a tiny cottage  which is  always open to passers-by whether they are in or not. He makes a living as a street sweeper and school crossing warden when not busy with inventing, creating, recycling and tinkering.

Buzz Off Toxic is his watchword. He wages perpetual, if peaceful, warfare on the petroleum industry.  His endearing but radical views can be sampled in his YouTube videos* which he broadcasts extempore from his boat or dingy, usually alongside his teddy bear Grippy and mug of tea.
