Llangefni clock tower
A trip to Llangefni to get some provisions for the weekend.
Llangefni is the administrative centre of Anglesey and the most populated town on the island.
We see the clock tower every time we go there but have never known the history so with the help of Google I can tell you.
It was built in 1902 to commemorate the life of Lt. George Pritchard - Rayner who died aged 29yrs old in the Boer War.
The town hall behind it was built in 1841 a Grade 11 listed building, and renovated last year
