Helter-skelter

Resilien(c)e!

Every time I'm ill I think 'This is the worst I've ever felt in my life!' but this time I'm sure it's true! Although I'm writing this on Friday, when I took this picture on Monday I already wasn't well at all and am only just coming out of it. Nothing serious, just a tummy bug I think.

What didn't help (or possibly could have even been the cause of how bad I felt) was that I'd just made some enquiries about doing maths and English GCSE equivalency tests. I'm not overly confident that I'll be able to prove that my overseas qualifications are equivalent so the easiest thing is to just do the tests. Or so I thought! I've no quibble about doing them but they'll be OVER THREE HUNDRED POUNDS AND MEAN TWO TRIPS TO ESSEX!!! It's unbelievable. I'll have to do it, though. As they say, 'The Only Way Is Essex'.

I couldn't believe it when I saw that the school noticeboard had a display about 'Resilience' - one of their core values - and the children had written stories of times they'd showed resilience. I suppose if these children didn't give up, neither will I. :-)
