Happy Swiss Day!

Went with Cici&Vik for a morning swim. Initially Vik did not want to get in the pool. He thought it was too deep. So he had a mini tantrum whilst I took Cici to the deep end to dive and splash about. Next thing I know Vik’s in the pool looking much happier. It took him a while but by the end of the session he was jumping in unaided, trying his best to swim with his face in the water and absolutely loving it. We played the shark game, hot tub game and superheroes. Cici joined in too being Captain America and proclaiming whilst whimpering ‘I’m a goodie. I’m Captain America.’ She soon became a baddie and tried to capture Awkwardman (Aquaman aka Vik). For the rest of the day Vik told everyone how ‘awesome ‘ the pool was and even said ‘it’s the coolest pool in the world’. So go New Addington, I guess!

The evening was spent celebrating National Swiss Day. We had red and white balloons, Swiss flag bunting, Lindt, Milka and Toblerone chocolate, bradwurst, rosti, cheese and of course, strudel! The food was amazing and we had a great time listening (and dancing) to Swiss folk music.
