The Wheel

The last few years there has been a wheel erected on part of the Recreation Ground almost opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and close to the river.
There's a bit of a Marmite feeling about it with opinions galvanized on both sides, although I feel as though each year brings a little less opposition to it with a grudging acceptance now.
We haven't been on it by the way but keeping saying that we will, even if only to take some photos from up there.
A lot of people about by the time we finished our walk and on the most part social distancing was being observed but also a few groups of ten or more people walking along together and taking up the whole footpath!
We also stopped for a coffee on the theatre terrace overlooking the river and did some people watching, oh my how we've missed that.
