A Rural Interlude

I've been visiting a neighbour who is in Bispham Hospital after an operation.I noticed this lake shown on a very old A-Z.I walked round the corner from the building and there it was.
It is now surrounded by an industrial estate and very unlovely council flats.This old marl pit was once surrounded by fields.
At least the local wild life seemed content,as was I.It's good to catch a glimpse of Mrs Nature in the midst of urban ugliness.
