... and it looks like its climbing clear up to the sky
Cathy and I have been out walking on some of the local permissive paths using the opportunity to forage for a few blackberries along the way for tonight's blackberry and apple pie. Mmm can't wait.
As you can see the farmer has planted sweet corn in some of his fields. This shot doesn't really give you a proper impression of the height of the corn, but the cloudy sky was beautiful this afternoon and I wanted to feature it in the shot.
A large part of today was spent on a very enjoyable video chat with Steve and Ann (Cathy's brother and his wife). Somehow we chatted for a good two hours before noticing that if we didn't stop for lunch it would soon be time for tea. It would be lovely to visit them, but they live on the edge of Manchester and are once again subject to increased lockdown requirements.... and so it goes.
