Art Class

in person with 3 little people.

Project: construct a living being (human or animal) from items lying around the house. Max size 2 feet sq. present as an art form showing flair, creativity and fun either as a still life, photo or painting of the item. Accompanied by some natural history if an animal and fun facts if a human.

We spent most of the morning doing this and the results were just great. We had marshmallow pigs and piglets, a m’asal beag dubh (and the Irish poem with it) made from an old pair of grey slippers and an Innuit person made from ice cubes (genius).

My contribution is a house fly made from 2 black paper clips, colours green, gold, red cut from sauce and soup packets and gossamer wings (cut from pure gossamer ha ha). Length : one inch.

The piggies were presented on a tray of mud; the dunkey on a bed of grass and the ice man in a freezer bag. My fly is presented in snapspeed with grunge filter with this blaring like the clappers...

I love art. You can lose yourself in it and in the company of children, the sky is the limit.


Now I have to show them how rounders should be played.
