Help With Identification?

This little fellow was one of two on my plum tree this afternoon. I thought it was a juvenile greenfinch or similar but according to my Macmillan's birds it is a Serrin, though they are supposed to live in the Mediterranean countries and only visiting here in the summer.
Could anyone help with the identification please?
