Deeside

We took Isla and Jed for a small tour of Deeside today. We’d a walk at Crathes, visited my sister in Torphins and spent some time in Ballater for a picnic. The weather was better further west, and the drizzle in Aberdeen was replaced by sunshine in Ballater.
Ballater is close to Balmoral where the Queen spends her summers. The village is full of royal connections - with several shops having the royal seal of approval. This sign is outside the baker.
