"Over-the-Top" Chimney

Walked through a mini hailstorm to get a blip of this chimney on a 3-storey house on Victoria Road. The house has been semi-derelict for over 13 years, with scaffolding up for over 11 of those. But I have always wondered why in the world anyone would go to this much trouble for a chimney on a fairly normal house...

It's now been bought and is being done up. The builder came and talked to me when he saw me blipping. Apparently, the chimney isn't original, but was part of a refurbishment. The house now has no doors, no floors and not much else either, except for a brand new slate roof.

All the result of a marriage break-down. So sad. They should have done the Marriage Course.
