Teeming with life

A big day for my friend who has been shielding for the past four and a half months. We have been meeting to chat over her garden wall during this time but this afternoon she invited us into her garden for a drink and birthday cake with her family. It was so lovely. They have a pond in their garden and her daughter was keen to show me the frogs and other pond life. This little fellow was happy to pose and I have included a shot of a pond skater as I've never really looked closely at one before. 
This evening a friend called around with some rhubarb, which she grows in her allotment, as she knows I love it. Crumble tomorrow!
