My Grandmother, Amelia Maria Marion Allen

The story my grandma told me went that she went to have her photograph taken after putting her hair up very carefully. The photographer said that it would be nice to have a photograph of her with her lovely hair let down. That surprised her. She was born in 1902, so perhaps this was taken around 1916.

Today it was a case of the best laid plans... I left it until the last minute to print out some copies of my family photographs ready for tomorrow. No matter how hard we tried we could not make 'A's photograph printer work on the new PC. It also refused to work on the new or old laptop. So we had to make a trip to Boots to print them out. We are thinking that printing at a store might be much more ecconomical that buying a new printer with its expensive consumables.
