In need of sunshine

The last couple of days have brought a lot of sad news making me feel pensive and unsettled.  My much loved uncle is very poorly indeed & the funeral of a troubled teenager in our village happened yesterday. 

The 'brake pedal' announced by the government on coming out of lock-down feels stifling, stuff I'd been hoping would happen has been cancelled & we have no holiday to look forward to.

I pottered in the garden and felt grateful for the surprising sunflowers which I've grown for the first time this year.  They are splendid.
