Back to Rainy Scotland

Unable to sleep last night due to the heat we decided to get up at 0250 and hit the road! Ridiculous to drive on 3.5hr or so sleep but the Great North Road was dead. It’s the first time I’ve driven more than 15 miles this year but I took the first shift and we were drinking our flask of coffee on the summit of the A66 by 0800 and at our destination (which S. gets annoyed that I still think of as ‘home’ by 11:15. Needed to go to bed after lunch though! It then started to rain. Welcome to Scotland!
