Perfect pattern placement

I can’t believe it has taken me three weeks to think  of tracing my pattern onto tracing paper so I can centralise designs on fabric with a definite ‘one way up motif’.

After all, you don’t and half an island, or windmill, or head! 

The fabric on the right is for me. I’ve had a fat quarter for many years, and it is long out of stock. So I have hesitated cutting into it, but I have managed to squeeze out some posh hat masks for me.

Now just to sew, photograph and upload!
