Votive Ship

I don't know about Britain, but in Finland you can see miniature ships in churches. I think it's a Baltic/Hanseatic tradition. This ship adorns the church of John the Baptist in Hamina, Finland, and it was rescued from Koivisto, Karelia right before the Soviets conquered the province and annexed it in their imperium.
