ROCKET PATROL

I just finished this little, Rocket Patrol, oil painting in my garage. As a child in the late fifties, I loved these platform 5-cent rides of horses or vehicles out in front of supermarkets and department stores. Most of the time, my mom didn’t have spare change and she would say, "just sit in there and use your imagination."  When I did have a nickel or a dime, I found the  slither-like motion and continuous-play melody  a little distracting. But I would forget. The next chance I got, I would  do it all over again.
