It's been so hot and humid today..
I haven't been further than the garden with my camera.
Butterflies have been in short supply so far this summer, with the exception of the Cabbage Whites, but this week there has been an explosion of various types, all loving the verbena bonariensis which has self seeded throughout the garden.
This peacock butterfly was very shy and wouldn't show off it's colourful markings and, to be quite frank, I couldn't be bothered today to hang about in the blazing sun waiting for it to change it's mind.
