Where’s Captain Beaky?

There was a song in the charts, by Keith Michel, when I was about twelve about a heroic band of animals, who get together to defeat the local villain, a snake named Hissing Sid. This week, I’ve noticed this artwork on the window of a closed down shop in Girvan. There are roadworks in the town centre, but I had to wait until today before I got stopped by the red light in the best position to get a photo.

This particular Hissing Sid isn’t a snake, but a male mute swan who is usually to be found in the harbour.
