A wonderful ‘haul’ of plants

A contractor recently took down a huge ‘ivy’ tree in my daughter’s garden which has left a border about 16 feet x 3 feet. There isn’t a great deal growing there, so this afternoon I went to see a friend, Chris, who opens her garden for the NGS and cultivates literally hundreds of plants to sell for charity.
She knows Lucy’s garden and has chosen all sorts of lovely things that can be planted now and will flower this year. Her plants are always amazingly healthy and are incredible value.
A bonus was that it was Chris’s husband’s birthday yesterday and so we had yummy chocolate cake for tea. What a great afternoon.
