Severe gale force 9

First thing, I decided to look at the shipping forecast. Oh dear, everything red, Viking, South Utsire etc all the was to the Faroe Islands, gale force 8 to severe gale force 9. 32 m/s wind, which is 115 km per hour. So we braced ourselves for a big crossing with 7 to 10 m waves. My strategy was don't get hungry, sit next to the window, watch the horizon as soon as I could feel the queeziness. It worked very well, plus one sea sick tablet. Mr S had a different strategy, go to the cabin, on the top floor at the top of the ship and read his book! Well I got an SMS saying that he'd been sick and wouldn't be coming for dinner at the Norrona buffet. I really enjoyed dinner, plates flying around, glasses sliding off the table, and older guests being guided accross the restaurant.
I went to the room at 9pm, ready for a night to be rocked to sleep!
