Woke from some horrific dreams so stayed awake for some time listening to the rain . I've had some wierd dreams of late. 

Finally slept and woke reasonably refreshed.

AH grounds to walk Fletch. Everything still very damp from all the rain but Fletch happy enough. I called in to book a table for lunch next week. They seem very organised  and tables are well spaced out. 
I'd still be very wary of eating out anywhere up in the Lakes. As our friend will be staying just outside Kirby Lonsdale  I checked out Avantis. The message online says that they wont be reopening.  So sad . Weve eaten there so many times since they opened nearly 20 years ago.  Always a friendly relaxing place ( and dog friendly) 
It wont be the last place to not reopen. Our initial hopes in March were that it would be all over by now . So wrong. It is obvious that the repercussions of all this will resonate for years.

On the positve , I nipped into Matalan  (sweatshirt for M) and across the carpark to Asda and everybody was wearing masks.  Interesting to see what designs people have chosen.  Oddest so far was  a man with a dogs nose and mouth!  No doubt as the weeks go by there will be weirder ones ! The air conditioning was on full blast in Asda but that seemed to help breathing through the mask less uncomfortable.  The mask I've got fits ok although it is annoying how the elastic gets caught round my glasses.

5 pm walk, with Fletch by the dock was warm and pleasant today. There was no wind! Yesterday the waves were crashing on  the sides, today the water was very calm. A nice place to walk and unwind.
