Belated Windtorte

A blustery day at the beach (see Extra). After a windy and spectacular walk, we built a simplified Austrian Spanische Windtorte (thanks to the Great British Baking Show) for my belated birthday treat, read aloud to each other, and played cards. I didn't want to know what was happening in the world.
