Hotter
Up to 35C today. I popped into the village to get a few supplies, a gas bottle and mosquito netting. The light is ...well... bright, unremitting. Thankfully the humidity - the afa- is not too high. Was still 32 at 8pm. Agriculture comes to a near standstill at this time of year - the hay is made, the wheat is in, the potatoes bake in the ground. Voices drift over the silky air as the light fades in the valley. Some visiting idiots fire up a ghetto blaster across the way but even they can’t put up with the racket or someone went round with a marraccia- bill hook.
The nights are not cooling down so much. 19c last night. Warmer tomorrow. The hint of rain for next week has slipped off the charts.
